Join the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Chi Beta Omega Chapter as we make it a day ON and not just a day off. In commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. International Day of Service we are partnering with Columbia Baptist Church to assemble lunch and snack bags for local Falls Church shelters, specifically the hypothermia program. Together we will work to provide much needed assistance by preparing lunch and snack bags for families in need in our community.
All registered participants must submit proof of vaccination. Additional details will be sent closer to the event.
Because this project is in-person, all volunteers must follow Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® volunteer requirements, which includes wearing a mask at all times you are in the building, do not come if you feel sick on the day of the project or if you have been exposed to COVID, and all adults must be vaccinated. If any of these requirements prevent you from participating in our in-person project, consider donating to the service project instead.
*Note. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Chi Beta Omega Chapter will adhere strictly to Covid protocols set by the state of Virginia. Thus, before the service project commences, temperatures will be taken for all volunteers upon entry.
Due to limited capacity this event will be open to adults only, 18 years or older.
